Save bits and pieces, odds and ends of left over hand soap. Grate or scrape it up finely. Add hot water that has had rose oil (about six drops) added to it, using enough to cover. Place over a low flame until soap dissolves. Now pour into a clean cream carton to a depth of one inch and set aside to harden.
You will have your very own home made rose soap!
Roses grow nicely with onion, garlic, and even ornamental alliums around them! They are less prone to attack from pests.
Geraniums make good companions for roses because they repel Japanese beetles.
