How to get your vitamins from ROSES!
As we soak in the beauty of roses or enjoy their scent we forget to look at rose hips: the berry or the fruit left after the flower has dried up. But these little fruits are very high, surprisingly high in vitamin C, and also contain vitamins A, B, K and F!
They should be precooked before using them to make soups, sauces, jellies, jams etc! Rose hips take from one to 3 hours of simmering in water to cook to a soft stage. You can make very nice dishes with them. You can even treat yourself to a pot of rose hip tea!
