Every rose can scent your cake!
If you can bear to use roses for cooking, here are some very easy recipes to try.
Place rose petals in the bottom of a cake tin before pouring in the cake batter. You can choose the color of the rose to add beauty to the cake too.
You can also put the petals inside muffins, breads, biscuits and cookies.
Try adding chopped rose petals to an omelette seasoned with herbs of your choice.
Dip rose petals in batter to which brandy or rose water has been added. Then deep fry!
Steep rose petals in brandy for 3 to 4 weeks and use the brandy in custards, puddings, desserts etc.
Crystallize rose petals and place on top of cherries in a cherry pie, or garnish cakes, fruit salads or desserts. Chopped rose petals will give a delicious flavor to custards, puddings, pancake and muffin batter.
