How to clean copper safely!

Rose Platter: Try these safe green copper cleaner!

  1. Make a paste of equal amounts of salt, flour and vinegar (the flour just helps it stick together). Rub it on the copper items, and let it sit for 10 minutes. Shine clean with a soft cloth.

  1. Mix together two egg whites, pinch of salt, small glass of vinegar, four soup spoons of plain flour. Rub the mixture on copper pans, kettles, bowls etc. Rinse in warm water and polish dry.
  2. A half lemon dipped in salt, or a salt and vinegar paste can also shift stains. Rinse immediately and dry with a soft cloth.
