A cool hair rinse with roses
Take a large bowl, one peck, of rose petals, freshly picked, and simmer in 1 quart water over a slow fire until the liquid is reduced by one half. Strain and bottle, leaving uncapped for 3 days, then cap the bottle. Use as a hair rinse or to scent cosmetics or salves.
A paste made from baking soda and water applied directly to facial blemishes heals them. Let it dry, then rinse.
Lemon juice added to your rinse water, helps reduce oiliness.
